Australian indie-rock outfit Little Quirks have announced their new album, ‘She’s Wild’, set for release on October 30th. The record opens a darker, bolder and more unapologetically rock-driven chapter for the New South Wales five-piece, as they explore love, heartbreak, freedom and the thrill of finding your own edge.
With ‘She’s Wild’, the band builds on the qualities fans already know them for: rich vocal harmonies, melodic songwriting and a natural gift for storytelling. This time, they push those foundations somewhere bigger. The guitars are louder, the rhythms hit harder and the production carries a darker, more atmospheric edge. Drawing on indie-rock, indie-pop, Americana and dream-pop, it is their most rock-driven record yet. The warmth is still there, but as the band puts it, ‘She’s Wild’ has more bite.
Across eight tracks, the album moves through the messy territory of love, lust, heartbreak and self-discovery, capturing the highs, lows and restless uncertainty of your twenties. These are songs about falling for the wrong person, wanting someone too much, walking away when something stops feeling right, and realising that freedom can be just as exciting as love. At its core, ‘She’s Wild’ is about choosing yourself.
It is a record about the moment the world starts to feel bigger again after heartbreak: learning to trust your instincts, finding independence and embracing the parts of yourself that don’t fit anyone else’s expectations. There is vulnerability throughout, but never passivity. Even the most intimate moments carry a sense of forward motion.
That energy comes through clearly on ‘Game Boy’, the album’s upcoming single. Bright, punchy and full of attitude, it takes aim at the smooth-talking romantic who always knows exactly what to say, until the act becomes so polished that the cracks start to show.
‘Little Red Dress’ pushes the album’s pop-rock instincts to the front, turning a messy breakup into a defiant anthem about refusing to carry someone else’s problems and finding the strength to leave them behind.
The album also leaves room for quieter moments. ‘Fingertips’ strips everything back for an intimate reflection on growing through difficult years and learning that being loved doesn’t mean needing to be saved. ‘Love That Door’ starts from a similarly emotional place before building into one of the band’s biggest rock moments, while ‘Sacrifice My Soul’ closes the record with a dark, folk-tinged rush of heartbreak and release.
Fronted by sisters Abbey and Mia Toole, alongside bandmates and friends Jordan Rouse and Lachlan Raeside, Little Quirks have spent the past decade growing up and writing songs together. That near-telepathic connection is at the heart of their live show, known for towering harmonies, sharp musicianship and fearless, all-in energy.
Since forming in 2016, the family band have toured extensively across the UK, Europe, North America and Australia, sharing stages with The Teskey Brothers, Frank Turner, The Lottery Winners and The Cat Empire, and playing major festivals including Kendal Calling, Colours of Ostrava and Bluesfest. Their 2024 Bluesfest set was described as “near-flawless” by Under the Radar Magazine, while Dan Condon of Double J called them “world-class indie-folk beauty.”
Their 2024 self-titled debut album has amassed millions of streams, with the band’s catalogue now passing 11 million Spotify streams and 4.4 million YouTube views, driven by fan favourites such as ‘Crumbled’, ‘Someone to Hold’ and ‘The Rain’.
With ‘She’s Wild’, Little Quirks turn heartbreak into liberation and vulnerability into strength, delivering a record that feels alive with possibility.
